Bio

Nico Sweet is an interdisciplinary artist and librarian exploring the human condition. Researching philosophical topics, they examine the fundamental nature of what it means to be human; questioning and studying existence, reality, and knowledge through their perspective.

Born in Belize and raised in the Southern United States, Nico explores their own identity, experiences, and traumas of growing up in the "culture" of the South as a dual citizen, mixed, queer individual. Having received their Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) from Winthrop University and Master of Library and Information Science (MLIS) from the University of South Carolina, they will continue to expand their knowledge through their art and research, crossing over fields.
